Stone Pony Farm’s Copy That aka “Ruby” is a precious 10 year old bay pony mare that is registered in the American Shetland Pony Club. Little miss Ruby stands a perfect 45 and 1/2 inches tall…. so she is the perfect size for the littlest of riders all the way up to bigger/taller riders like my son who stands 5 foot and about 90lbs for size reference.... (read more) Not only is Ruby the perfect height, but she is also thicker than a bowl of oatmeal! If you are looking for something extremely gentle, full of personality, cute as can be, AND registered….. stop what you’re doing because Ruby has all the boxes checked twice! Ruby is the sweetest, most in your pocket type pony you could ever dream of! The second she hears you outside, she is headed to the barn and ready to greet you! She gets along and makes friends with any other ponies that I have put her with and will even eat out of the same bucket if she really likes their company. Ruby is not scared of dogs in the least bit either. From our Great Dane all the way down to our Jack Russell terrier, she enjoys being around them all and will actually allow our Jack Russell, Piper, to ride her around! Ruby is extremely easy to catch and allows any kid to walk right up, put her halter on, and hop right on bareback. This little mare also loves all the attention and grooming she can possibly get! That includes baths, feet trimming, body clipping, hair braiding, brushing, you name it…… This gal will stand tied all day and enjoy every second of the pampering. Ruby loads and unloads easy peasy in any kind of trailer and enjoys to go see all the sights. Not only is Ruby absolutely amazing on the ground but she is wonderful under saddle as well! Wether your little one is a true beginner looking for something that will go easy and slow or an advanced rider that will want some speed when asked, Ruby will do what is asked of her each and every time. Ruby is no stranger to a days work either, she will get in the pens and sort calves off their mommas on sale day and push them to the trailer to be loaded… whatever the job may be, Ruby will get it done and look absolutely precious while she is at it! Ruby will also cross water with ease and not think a second thought about it. No job is too big for this little mare and her cowkid! Although Ruby has been solely used for western riding here, I believe she will also excel in english as well! She has the perfect little fancy look to her that would be perfect for the show ring and all the heart you could ask for! Ruby is 100% sound and has good black feet all the way around. There isn’t a thing we would change about Ruby and feel that she will make a wonderful addition to someone’s family!
