*Reduced Price*. *Updated Video*. Phoenix is a gorgeous, buttermilk buckskin with red highlights, and registered AQHA. He is athletic and has an amazing handle, he's a "mind reader" or at least a great body language reader. He is very “cowy” and his previous owner told me he is one of the best heelers he has ever seen. He has also competed as a header. I’ve been using him for the last three years exclusively as a trail horse and he's a blast to ride - he has so many buttons!... (read more) Phoenix is the most athletic horse I have ever owned. He has automatic flying lead changes, he spins, has a nice stop, an easy to ride regular and working trot; he sidepasses, works a gate, and backs up straight all at the lightest leg pressure or touch of the reins. He will do best with a confident, experienced rider. He easily loads and unloads from the trailer, he stands quietly for the farrier, for picking his feet, grooming, bathing, etc. His previous owner won on Phoenix in team roping events. He also dearly loves carrots. He is super smart, I’ve run him through the Clinton Anderson groundwork basics, and he learned each skill in two days or less – I bet he could learn a barrel pattern and do very well in that sport. I wish I could keep up with him, but it’s time to sell him to someone who can, he is just too nice and needs a proper job. Up to date on teeth, Coggins, vaccinations.
