I am helping list Bob for a friend. Rode and camped with this horse for the past several years all over Ohio, WV, Virginia, & PA and has been boarded at my farm in the past. This guy is a trail horse deluxe. He’s been there & done that from the easy trail rides to the rocky terrain in the mountains.... (read more) Loads, ties, bathes, clips, stands perfect for the farrier. Ties on the picket line, eats & drinks on the road just fine. Beer bags broke, trail shenanigans broke, rain poncho broke, not spooky at all about anything. Stands on the trailer quietly (even when broke down on the side of a highway). Will ride in the front, middle, or behind in the group. Just drops his head and he follows right along or will leave the group and rides right off on his own if you ask. Stands to tack up, mount & dismount. Easy and quiet to handle under saddle and on the ground. Stalls quietly, & gets along with everyone in the pasture. Dont let his age fool you, he has never taken a lame step and still has plenty of go. He is not a forward horse at all, but he is gaited, so his walk is faster than a dead head QH. Goes into a gait or canter when asked. Super fun horse that anyone can ride and enjoy that is SAFE SAFE SAFE! He is who we have always put new riders on for trail rides. Zero buck, kick, rear, or spook. His one ‘vice’ that I can pick at is he backs off the trailer fast.
Sound, zero maintenance. Always kept UTD with farrier work, vaccines, deworming, and yearly dentals.
