Meet Justice-
Super dreamy big bay roan gelding, he is a special boy, one of our own that I have drug my feet on listing for quite sometime now. The reality is sometimes you just gotta make those hard big girl decisions. We have a new arena build in the works so this is forcing me to list a couple. Justice is a GORGEOUS 15yr old been there done that fella! 16 hands tall big shapy horse, muscled out, one of the most athletic horses we own! He can cover some ground and is sure footed, brave as they come, a finished ranch horse, he's done it all!... (read more) Barefoot, legs look great, been shown, was a youth gaming mount, roped, ran barrels, poles, has been all over the countryside and trails alone and in a group, hopped over logs, ponied yearlings, rides double etc and just about anyone can ride him.
If you can get on a horse, know basics of riding, and have some confidence you'd be in LOVE with this seasoned fella! He is registered with the AQHA and has a very nice sporthorse and all-around ranch-horse pedigree, including First Down Dash- Dash For Cash, Mesabi Moon, and other highly desirable bloodlines.
Justice has been used in lessons on occasion, and that's not something he really seems to be all that into, BUT he'll do it! He bonds with his people and wants that relationship but is a good + willing boy always down for whatever we ask! Kids handle him on a regular basis. He has excellent ground manners! No vices. No maintenance. Quiet + easygoing, level-headed, reliable mount, not sensitive skinned, turns out in a large herd of geldings with a variety of personalities and gets along with all. Mid pecking order. Respects all types of fencing. Packs a ton of hind end power, neck reins, side passes, backs up, spins, has buttons etc.
He's a SOLID mount wtc, a very smooth horse to ride, rides in a snaffle, soft in the mouth, and brave out with the cattle. Been around a whole lot from wildlife, fires, water, dogs, farm machinery, the range, out west etc. Trailers like a pro! Ground ties for tacking up. LOVES attention, grooming, grain on days he's working, and apple cinnamon treats/cookies. Justice is a big LOVER, he drops his head and naps while he's getting hosed and groomed, excellent with the farrier, and has good solid feet. Doesn't act a day over 8! This is not the type of horse that just wants to walk he desires a real job whether that's with a competitive rider thats into games, a show home, a family looking for a STUNNING well rounded mount, college rodeo or an avid trail riding home etc. Big puppy personality!
Now let's chat about his quirks... he does not appreciate people that are heavy-handed with the reins or spurs because he definitely doesn't need them. For whatever reason, he doesn't care for the step stools with 3 steps the ones with 2 are fine or get on him from the ground or a bumper/ rock /log etc whatevers near! Justice prefers pasture board but will stall up quietly. We have just noticed that he seems so much more laid back as pasture board, so that's what he's been with us.
We love Justice so much and have no desire to home him to be rehomed again, will want pics of where hes going, and won't home him to a barn where he'll be alone either.
