I am urgently looking to re-home my medically retired quarter horse mare as I look to move out of state for school. Piper was diagnosed with ring bone in the front right pastern in Dec 2023 and has thus been retired to pasture. Maintenance of her condition has been possible with joint injections every three months and the vet anticipates she can return to light riding (walk and trot) given her age. She is currently sound out in a large pasture and is being worked back up to riding condition.... Ideally Piper will live the rest of her laid-back life with plenty of room to roam and an owner that is looking to give her lots of love.
