Chief (CPA Little C) is a 15.3 hand APHA gelding with previous show history in both English and Western pleasure. He works well in the arena, but can be a little barn sour when you first take him out on trails. Nothing crazy, just needs someone confident to keep him moving along. He is calm and gentle and is safe around ATVs, dogs, pets, motorbikes, cows, and pretty much anything else you can think of.... (read more) Stands for farrier, bathing, clipping, and trailers well. Currently barefoot, but a little sore on rough gravel. He has smooth, flowing gaits and nice transitions, and stands to be mounted/dismount.
Chief would do well with an advanced beginner looking to get into showing. He’s a more woah than go kind of guy, who is solid enough that you can let him sit and he’ll still act the same when you get back on. He is good out in the pasture with other horses and an easy keeper. First one to meet you at the gate. Up to date on all vaccines, de-worming and dental. No maintenance other than routine care.
Recently had a 30-day tune up with the trainer to get him more suited for Hunter style, but he doesn’t seem to like it at all, which is the only reason he is for sale.
