~ Grandview Showtime Wicker / aka Maggie ~ Maggie is an 11-year-old registered bay clydesdale mare. Originally, we were going to sell her open but I decided recently to breed her back to my gypsy vanner stallion so she has a foal for us next year if she doesn't sell. She's confirmed pregnant & due the first week of July 2025. She has a laid-back personality. 17.1 hh. She is PSSM1 neg. Color tests EE,AA. This means bred to our cremello roan gypsy vanner stallion she is guaranteed to have a buckskin foal.... (read more) She is a great mama that has had 3 beautiful buckskin foals by our gypsy stallion Shay. Maggie is my daughter's horse. She's sold her baby's the past 3 years for $10,000 each to help pay tuition, but she has since graduated college, got a job in MN & moved away so we decided to list Maggie for sale. She had a beautiful buckskin roan filly this year but unfortunately the placenta was in the wrong place at the wrong time & came out with the baby causing the cord / placenta to become detached during labor depriving baby of oxygen till she was out & could breathe on her own. Sadly, this caused neurological damage to the baby as she had trouble getting up. Maggie was wonderful throughout the whole ordeal standing at her baby's side letting us milk her & tend to her baby 24 / 7. Our vets said it's a fluke thing due to no fault of her own. Baby just went without oxygen for just to long. They did everything they could for her filly hoping she'd bounce back but sadly it wasn't meant to be, she was euthanized a week later. If Maggie sell's the $ is going to pay off all her filly's vet bills we rang up as a result. I have saddled & sat on her a few times, been led around on her & she was fine with it but to my knowledge she is not broke to ride. When we bought her 5 yrs ago from Missouri they said she is broke to drive. We don't have the equipment for that so have never done it, only used her as a broodmare. PED in the pics. She's always been trimmed in the stocks, stands good for ultrasounds. Has current coggins. Had teeth floated in spring. Sound never had any health issues other than an old injury from a poke by a tree branch to her third eye lid that healed over the tear duct causing it to clog permanently resulting in some swelling under her lower left eye lid (pic on our website). Follow up by 2'nd vet came to the same conclusion. Her eye itself has no damage, but because the old tissue injury healed over the tear duct, the blockage will likely never change. Price reflects this. Pic below. Vet checks welcome at buyer expense. Selling for $7500 AS IS & the price is FIRM otherwise, we'll keep her ourselves.
