My María is a stunning 6 year old, 14.2 hand ranch mule. Her eye catching champagne color and fun personality, makes her a joy to get on and ride everyday whether you are going on a relaxing trail ride, heading out for ranch work, or off to enjoy a fun show.... (read more) María has been used in all aspects of ranch work. From roping and doctoring cattle, sorting pairs, to checking fence. She is comfortable around cattle and isn’t afraid of a hard day of work. She has spent a lot of time in west Texas and New Mexico, so seeing big country and some rough terrain is nothing new to her. If you’re looking to head out on a nice trail ride, she is game for that too. She will ride anywhere in the group, and will quietly ride away from her friends if asked. She also rides out alone confidently. María enjoys more difficult trails too. Point her nose up a steep bank and she will go, ask her to slide back down, she does it with ease. She walks over logs, goes through brush etc. She crosses water and doesn’t mind if it gets deep. María has also done extreme type trail obstacle such as swinging bridges, going up and down stacks of tires etc. María has a nice walk, jog, and lope. She neck reins, backs, and has a nice turn around. She rides nicely collected and has a beautiful lope on a full drape across the pasture field. You can open and close gates on her. She stands tied well and is quiet to tack up. She stands to mount and rides off nicely. María has been going to local fun shows this summer and handles that commotion nicely as well. She is traffic safe and has been ridden around farm equipment that is working. María is a super nice, all around mule that is super fun to ride. Don’t miss out on a great one!
