This sweet mare is one we can't get enough of at the barn! She is a very smart little mare and we believe she could be the mini of your dreams! She had a facial injury a while back but it is healed now thanks to the help of her previous owner and some vet care. She let us touch her ears and face but did not enjoy a brush touching her face and became a bit headshy just with that. We believe with some work she will easily overcome this and learn to love it!... (read more) She takes treats very politely from your hand and enjoyed her mane and tail being brushed. Sassy does indeed pull a cart and she does it well! She could use some refining but she did excellent. We have saddled her and dragged a tire behind her and she didn’t care much at all. Have videos of her pulling the cart upon request!
We are a little nervous about fly spray but she is a quick learner and with a good teacher I’m sure you could get her to do almost anything!
I think you and I both know you could definitely use a mini this cute. I mean..what's wrong with adding a little bit of Sassy in your life? Come on out and meet her or schedule a virtual meet and greet with us, we would absolutely love to show you this sweet girl!
Sassy is UTD on all vaccinations, dental, farrier, etc. She is also microchipped and ready to hit the road!
Nexus Equine
We believe there are times when horses find themselves in at-risk situations and need outside support and resources. As a result, all horses have a specific individually designed program that promotes the highest potential of each horse.... (read more)
The final step in our adoption process is matching the right person with the right horse, creating positive outcomes for the equine community. Horses need resources and support when they are no longer appropriate for current discipline or environment. Nexus provides those option either by putting horses in our adoption and transport programs OR by providing assistance to horse owners with veterinary and farrier care so that horses can remain at home.
Nexus collaborates and partners with other equine organizations, horse and breed associations, national animal welfare organizations and horse enthusiasts on a local and national level to help horses more efficiently and effectively. Our team works hard to help Oklahoma horses—check out recent news coverage, press releases, and social media posts about our efforts in the News Center.
