Rico is an approximately 4-5 year old paint/QH gelding standing at 15hh. He is a green but SAFE project that would be suitable for a junior in a program. He has had less than 20 rides under saddle, is going W/T/C and over ground poles, and some of which have been with good riding teenagers. He has a good brain, no funny business or bad behaviors. The worst he does is stop and stand if he is "unsure" but is not reactive. His favorite speed is woah, and prefers to stand and chill before going anywhere.... (read more) Rico is a sweet boy who will do best forming a long term bond and routine with someone. He will be a straightforward project, just a little late to school in his education, does best in a routine so he can continue to progress. He is barefoot, good for our farrier, stands to tie, bathe, clip, easy to load and haul. Incredibly good ground manners, very polite to handle, will stand still as a statue all day long if you ask him. We intended to put the miles on to bring him along as a short stirrup type, however decided someone with more time to dedicate would be better for him right now.
