If you’re looking for that “WOW” factor, here he is!
King Saibot (AKA Palo) is a registered Friesian sporthorse gelding with fairytale good looks, and he’s as sweet as he is stunning! His Friesian sire, Koop (Leffert 306 x Ykje Ster) is a red carrier, and his Morgan dam is a rich chestnut red and a lovely mover. This beautiful Baroque boy inherited the best of both breeds! Registered with Friesian Heritage Horse and Sporthorse International (FHH).... (read more) 50% Friesian, 50% Morgan.
Palo began driving as a 2.5-year-old (single and double), was started under saddle (western) at 4 years old, and has been in dressage training since October 2023. This is a very nice moving horse, with wonderful uphill movement and natural self-carriage. He has the notable action you would expect of a well-bred Friesian and is certain to get high marks on his gaits in a dressage test.
He is currently in a dressage training program, is schooling 1st level, and undoubtedly has the potential to achieve the FEI levels. He has three very nice gaits… easy to sit, easy and super fun to ride. He is kind and responsive and just needs a few more miles to be show-ready. He is sensitive to the rider’s aids (as a good dressage horse should be), forward thinking, but always ready to stop when you are. He is a fast learner, very intelligent, loves his humans, and is drool-worthy to boot! He is sound and currently barefoot with four great hooves. He is also a super easy keeper… very low maintenance (aside from his ton of hair!).
Palo loads in a trailer and hauls with ease, cross-ties, clips, bathes, and stands quietly for the farrier and vet. He has been to a couple of off-site events, including a dressage clinic and dressage schooling show. He did very well and gets better each time he goes out. He is current on everything (deworming, teeth, vaccines, etc.).
This is a very talented and capable gelding that needs a rider who will take him all the way. He has a great foundation that a professional trainer (or competent adult amateur) could quickly build on. PPEs welcome at the buyer’s expense.
This is a very special horse, with the perfect home an absolute must. He is reluctantly offered for sale.
