Chepi is a cremello quarter horse with blue eyes. I bought him in 2022 with vet records estimating him at 7 years old, but I found his trainer who gave him his first 60 days training and the trainer advised he is closer to 13 years old. Chepi is a fast learner and has been used for trail riding and barrel racing before I owned him. His owner before me got divorced and her husband sent him to auction. I believe he was mishandled at auction as he is jumpy with sudden movements.... (read more) When he has regular training Chepi is in your pocket and often follows me around without a lead. He gets along well with other horses and has lived with a mini as well. Unfortunately he has been sitting for the last year and could use someone who can get him back into training and give him the time he deserves. I believe with a 30 day refresh he will be an allstar horse. He is fast and I feel he would do well with barrel racing or even a cutting prospect. He has been around mounted shooting and though he is not gun broke he is not a stranger to gunfire either. His last dental was July 2023 and his feet and sheath were cleaned May 2024. I am an advanced beginner looking for a trail horse to build my confidence on. Eventually I'd like to get into barrels, but that would be a few years from now. Ideally a quarter horse gelding or something with a similar build. 14.2-16hh. No projects, looking for a beginner safe horse to build my confidence back up.
