This is “Roy”, a super nice 6 year old unique Grulla Roan Quarter Horse Crossbred gelding that has been used for ranch work. He has been in the arena and ridden English and Western. He is 1/4 Draft and 3/4 Quarter Horse which provides him with good bone and lots of substance and size, yet he is not “too drafty”. He moves nicely, lopes nice circles, in and out of confinement, and stops hard. He will back up nicely and has an easy one hand neck rein with a nice easy turnaround.... (read more) He will ride out alone with confidence and go where he is asked to go with no hesitation. He unloads in new surroundings and rides off as if he has been there many times before. He is 15.3 hands tall and a full made horse with eye catching color. He crosses water, deadfall, and can handle steep rocky ground without difficulty. This nice gelding can get the job done, take you for a recreational trail ride, and is fancy enough to make you proud at the horse shows. He has real life ranching experience, he is a seasoned trail mount, and he is stylish in the arena. He’s a cool crossbred with color, brains, ride, and a great work ethic.
