I have a wonderful Hackney pony for sale. I recently purchased him as a companion/driving prospect. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to put into him. I have two other horses that need my limited time. Dunkin will take a saddle and rider. He had been sitting in a paddock for years. I put a saddle and bridle on him, then an 11-year-old accomplished rider. Both of them did great. Not surprisingly, he was a bit nervous and confused but was very respectful and listened really well.... (read more) He is very refined and more of a show pony than a back yard trail pony. He has beautiful knee action. Would make a great driving prospect or saddle seat prospect. He is very respectful on the ground and in the saddle. Dunkin is 12 years old (floater and vet confirmed). Because he can get nervous and does look to you for reassurance and guidance, I would not suggest him for unsupervised young kids. He does need someone with experience, patience and understanding. Dunkin would thrive with "his person" that can spend one-on-one quality time with him. He is UTD on everything. He will load, pick up feet, cross tie, great with vet and farrier. He has no bite or kick. Price negotiable to right home.
