Screamin Emery "Remy" is a 5 year old OTTB mare that is looking for a person to call her own. She's been off the track since February 2023 after racing twice and just not having the speed. She had a full 6 months of letdown before I purchased her to be a lesson horse. After I purchased her, I sent her off for training where she learned the basics and got some miles under her belt. Remy is all business under saddle. She is focused and steady, hasn't had any silly moments, and is reliable and forgiving of mistakes.... (read more) She's popped over small jumps and shows promise for a hunter career or to be a low-level eventer. Unfortunately, Remy won't fit into a lesson program, as she greatly prefers building a bond with one person. She does have some quirks but is very clear in her body language communication when something bothers her. She does not like to be crowded while eating and will pin her ears and kick at/chase her neighbors away from her grain. Additionally, from past incidents kicking at her neighbors and hitting panels, she does have some firm filling on her back legs. Doesn't seem to involve the tendons and doesn't bother her, radiographs came back clean. PPE is welcome at buyer's expense. Price reflects this and NOT her potential, training, or talent. She's otherwise sound and currently barefoot.
