Lot #1 - UC A Perfect Storm, “Rona”, is a 4-year-old 14.2hh Morgan mare by UVM Abington (UVM Promis X UVM Night Star) out of UC Jubilee (UVM Jubilant x SMP Main Topic). Rona’s grandsire, UVM Promise, was a four-time World Champion Morgan stallion, who gave many of his attributes to UVM Abington, who went on to be an in-hand and under saddle World Champion.... UC Jubilee’s sire, UVM Jubilant, was successful in many Morgan in-hand classes over the years due to his athleticism, beauty, and correct conformation. Rona carries the elegance and refinement her pedigree is known for. Her linage has also provided her with a highly trainable personality that will make her a versatile mare. Rona lunges in tack and longlines/ground drives confidently. She has been lightly started under saddle and is progressing well. She is a quick learner and approaches new challenges bravely. On the ground, Rona stands for the vet, farrier, and trailers without issue. She is very friendly, with a sweet and curious personality. She is a pleasure to work with and is on her way to being a great all-around horse. She would thrive in a consistent program with an advanced rider and could be successful in the future with an amateur.

University of Connecticut Department of Animal Sci

The University of Connecticut offers a four-year Animal Science degree with an Equine Science area of interest. The program is flexible, offering both a broad liberal education, involving a choice of several electives, combined with the option of individual development. A two-year program is available through the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture in which courses cover the more practical aspects of Animal Science.... The program breeds Morgan horses, quarter horses and warmbloods for sale and use in the training/riding program.
