I have a fourteen year old OTTB mare with an unlimited potential. The price is negotiable. She had an impressive breeding background. Her name is Mercy and she has three triple crown winners in her breeding history. Secretariat then Seattle Slew and Affirmed. Almost four but Northern Dancer finished third at the Belmont Stakes. Mercy would perform perfectly in eventing because she is smart, athletic. She will stay with you wherever you go.
I trained her to trail ride.... (read more) She does good considering i don’t take time to ride her often enough and she free roams 24/7 with a goat buddy. She has never reared. I’ve owned her for four years.
I turned sixty one on Nov. 9th. and decided i need a shorter horse and she needs a job.
I taught her to: Neck rein, she backs, crosses logs, stands still once mounted, crosses a teeter totter, hills, ground ties, jumps a two foot high PVC pipe. She is accustom to trains, train horns, dogs, cars, tractors, lawn mowers, metal dropping into a metal dumpster and gun shots. She doesn’t cross tie, My first mistake resulting in a scare. She doesn’t cross water either but only because i don’t have a place to teach her it’s safe. Her name is Mercy, on the track it was Mercy13 as displayed in her pedigree database. She won three races.
Horse’s have four personality types. Her’s is the left brain extrovert. The smartest and easiest equine brain to train. Meaning she operates primarily using the thinking side of her brain to remain safe, not the reaction side. The brain’s left and right sides aren’t connected / no information is transmitted over. Everything taught to a horse on its left side must be taught on its right as well. She is very sensitive and smart, she understands well and quickly. She needs an athletic job to reach her potential and not be bored.
She would excel in jumping / eventing and would be great for your daughter because she loves women. She’s the ultimate athlete from proven DNA with a body that shows it. She has no issues, great feet and she’s always up to date on shots and floating. I will only sell her to someone who will see she has a job such as eventing or regular trail riding she needs to use her athleticism. Her talent is being wasted here. Her perfect next home would be with someone who will be her last owner
and see’s the remainder of her life is comfortable.
