Glide is an incredibly kind, sincere soul. His expression is so sweet and he always has this happy look about him. I just really like him. He is such a lover on the ground and clearly has been spoiled by his connections (who bred, raised and raced him for his entire life) but is extremely polite about the fact that he expects approximately 100 peppermints or cookies or carrots per ride or you know, if you just happen to be walking by and look at him lol I can't say I've done anything but enable him because he is so stinking cute.... Glide is a very relaxed horse in and around the barn. We're working on getting that relaxation in the tack too, especially in the canter. He's a 9yo and has been a racehorse for his entire life so it is a big change to be asking him for connection and suppling across his topline. He's making huge progress and there is an incredibly balanced uphill canter in there. In general, he has lovely movement. Glide has a workman like attitude in the tack and it a bit more on the forward thinking end of the scale. Nothing like running off with you or anything near that, just like I'm here to work and let's get to business. He is the type who will do best in some sort of a program with consistency. He is an extremely talented horse and I can't wait to see what he'll be doing in another year.
