I have an approximately 23 year old mare, she determined by vet teeth examination. She’s a been there done that kind of mare in the arena. I can do just about anything to hear in my roundpen. Trail riding does not seem to be her favorite thing in the world. Therefore me and her do not click. She’s very loveable and friendly. I recently got her this last May. My coworker’s fiancé was moving to town and could no longer keep her. She had one colt approximately 5 years ago. She was a great mama. In the past 5 years she just sat in the pasture and was not used. The previous owners would give her only hay and literally sugar cubes for treats. When I went to look at her they gave her half the box in 30 minutes.

This horse needs a job. I took her in May to start working on refreshing her. I sadly do not have the time that she needs. She seems to remember most of her training. She does neck rein and responds very well to pressure. To get her to move faster all I have to do is squeeze my heels and she goes. She has never bucked or reared when I rode her throughout the summer. I sadly do not know much about her. She has a lot of potential. Looking for a good home for her. I know that I won’t get what I paid and put into her but I’m hoping to get at least half that for her.

I think she’s on the thin side however my vet claims that she is a healthy weight she’s just not built the same as my draft bred mares. I’m not used to having a thinner bred horse.

Up to date on shots, coggins were done last year when I got her. Teeth were floated last year, it appears they were never done prior. Her feet weren’t done for 5 years. Shes been on a 6 week trim schedule since I got her. Her feet look great now. She also was thinner when I got her, she is a little heavier now.

I have $1,500 into her so I’d like to get my money back.
