ELVIS

18 y/o gelding pony

Elvis has been ridden all over by my girls (8 & 4): down ditch banks, the road, in the arena, pasture, etc. The girls use him to bring the calves up to the arena from the pasture. He has been around dogs, cows, cats, goats, etc and he could care less about them.

Elvis takes all the pampering with patience. He stands to get brushed and bathed or finger painted and polished. He is great with baths but can be a little annoyed depending on who has the hose and where it’s spraying (4 year old and a wild face wash is not his favorite, but he takes it).... (read more)

Elvis would be best for a younger kid who shuts down his pony attitude when he decides to show it. He’s not mean but he knows who will make him mind and who will let him wander aimlessly and eat grass ?.

He’s is a pony and does some pony things like escape from pens that aren’t locked properly and go on adventures until you notice he’s missing.

Elvis foundered with his previous owner. He does best on dry lot with grass hay. When turned out he does great with horses and cows and likes to act like he’s the boss. Sometimes they humor him and go with it ?‍♀️.

Overall, Elvis has been pretty dang patient and kind in teaching my girls confidence and responsibility. We want him to go to a home where he can do the same for another kid.
