I started working with Tater Tot as a project to sell later in the year. And the time has finally come. I’ve been working on and off with him for a few months, but started really working with him around Christmas. That’s when I started to teach him how to jump. Tater tot is still fairly new to jumping, but has improved very quickly. However, he does need a patient and confident rider that can help him gain confidence over the scary jumps.... (read more) We recently took Tater Tot to his first show, and competed in two ft hunters. At home, I’ve jumped him 3ft, but he has free jumped up to 3’9. He has nearly auto lead changes. We’ve taken Tater tot on trails, and walked along the road. The only problem we’ve found is he gets a little nervous when going to new places without his friends. Tater Tot has never bucked, reared, kicked, or bit in the time that I’ve had him. He’s very good at trailering, and stands well for clipping. He has been sound ever since I’ve started working with him. He has one splint on the inside of his front left leg that has completely calcified a long time ago, and it will never bother him again. I could go on and on about this amazing boy, and he deserves a very good home. With a little more work and time, he will be an amazing little hunter.
