Apache is a beautiful black and white paint gelding standing 15 hands tall and just 5 years old. He has been started heading and has ran about 100 live steers and shows great potential. He leaves the box flat and rates to his spot on the steer, is strong to the horn, and faces well.... (read more) Apache is acting like a true seasoned head horse. He has also been hauled to a few local jackpots and done great! He has also heeled some steers in the arena as well. He not only is making a great head horse but also a phenomenal ranch horse. He has gathered cattle in some rough terrain and knows how to navigate his way through rocky country. This horse always knows where his feet are and never misplaces them. He has seen tons of wildlife deer, turkeys, elk and pigs. He is veteran in the branding pen and makes it super fun. We have doctored out in the pasture, and he is a team mate that makes your day job super easy. Apache is also a super trail partner who is unflappable. He will go out alone or in a group setting does not mind if he is the leader of the pack or bringing up the tail end. Apache is a pleasure to be around, and will be safe. He is the same horse every day. In the arena he has a nice smooth lope and picks up both leads and has a nice soft feel with a natural head set. He has a collected stop and easy reverse. Apache has been to town and out on heavily congested traffic and does not mind. He has seen all the obstacles such as balls tarps and flags. He will walk over brides and logs and is always gentle. This horse has a lot of potential to be a great trail companion, seasoned rope horse or a superb ranch horse. Apache is up date in vaccines worming and farrier work he has nice feet and easily goes barefoot or can be shod. This gelding is one you will look long and hard for and doesn’t come around very often. He is one any can ride and enjoy. Take him to the jackpot and then turn around and take him on a leisurely trail ride. He has been ridden by a variety of levels of riders and really adapts to it well. Apache clips, ties, and is great for the farrier. He loads easily in any trailer and travels well. This beautiful boy will get you noticed any where you go with his unique markings.
