2021 gelding “Docs Royal Boonlight” stacked papers, great personality, flashy color
This is Not a light decision, Boone is a favorite of ours, he is super smart and willing, we just aren’t confident in his conformation to be a big circle horse long term.
Boone does not have correct straight front legs and this was not disclosed to us at purchase, and our vet recommends we don’t keep him for Our line of work. That is the Sole reason we’re looking to move him.... (read more) We’re going to start calving and we put on 10-15 miles a day during the summer and we’re not willing to take that gamble. He is currently Sound, 100% no issues, but you can see from his leg photo he’s not quite right, and he popped a splint on his right leg.
Now for the good- trailers, stands tied, stands quiet to saddle and get on, he’s got 7 rides and counting (2/22), been outside to check health already once, no issues. Not spooky, not a mean bone in his body but he’s not a dead head.
He’s already 14.3/15h and still growing. Good to trim, low on the totem pole. Hes been flagged, worn a blanket, walked on the blanket “tarp”, good to pony.
He was bought through the NILE sale in Billings MT and is eligible for all their events
