Additional Comments
2010 APHA "Dusty Down" up for consideration. 15.2 HH gray gelding. No vices. Has been used for goat tying and my daughter was going to learn roping but has decided to stick to barrels only. He knows the pattern, runs left and knows poles but we are not offering him as a finished barrel horse. Best pole time was in the 23s and she picked up a couple of points last year in SCHSRA on poles. He would make a great pickup horse - she used him to stop her friend on a runaway horse and he stood strong as the other horse barreled into him.... (read more) Backs, spins, side passes, great stop. Ponies great. Throw a rope off of him, chase cattle, good with cats, dogs, chickens, donkeys, goats... Stands tied all day at shows, has stayed overnight in temporary corrals at rodeos, trailered all over SC, NC, and to Perry, GA. Loved trails as well, alone or in a group. Point him at a fallen tree and he will jump right over it. Take him over jumps in the arena, he likes that too. Has been camping and to the ocean. Great fun at playdays and gymkhana. He would probably even love the hunt field. If I could keep 2 boarded I would but can't afford it and he needs a job! He is not for beginners, likes to GO and he has speed! No bite, kick, or rear. Pastured with mares and geldings, middle of the herd. Barefoot, no issues, just trimmed 2/22/24 on 6 week cycle. No maintenance, eats and drinks fine on the go. First Down Dash/Streakin Six on top/ Peppy San and Poco Bueno on bottom.
