Additional Comments
Lizzie has completed the three year Natural Horsemanship program at UMW with five A grades and one B grade. She definitely leans more into her thoroughbred side in looks and has a lot of get up and go. She definitely seems to be more interested in the jumping/dressage side of things as opposed to the western. No bite/buck/kick since she was about 3 years old. Intermediate to advanced rider. I’ve had beginner riders on her, and they had no issue, but I say intermediate to advanced mainly because she is a lot of horse and does best with a confident hand.... (read more) She has a great start into the dressage and hunter jumper side of things, she has cleared a meter no problem free jumping and being ridden, and has a lot of confidence going over poles. She is good with collection, speed rating, leg yields, sidestepping, leads, backing, and has a lot of buttons. On the more western side of things, she has had a lot of experience with trail courses and being out on trails with groups and by herself, and she does well ponying other horses along. She has been roped off of (just dummies), has tracked the dummy, drug logs, and has done flag and tarp work on the ground and in the saddle. Her roll backs are solid, she has a great hind quarter fade and is very good at hind end disengagement, her stops need a brush up, and she can do spins, just has not gotten much speed with those yet. Opening and closing gates is a breeze on her. She has been perfect for the farrier for trims and shoes, has been an angel for all the routine vet care (deworming, blood draws, vaccines, teeth floating), no issues with being in stocks, very respectful of leading, ties excellently, loads well into trailers, has no sourness with getting tacked up, will line up to a fence for you to get on if needed but will also stand nicely to mount from either side on the ground, ground work is solid on both sides, has been pasture boarded through the last three summers with different herds and has never had an issue getting along with the other horses. She has an excellent genetic history with several world champions in her blood line, her grandsire being Hot Ones Only, a Nine-Time World Champion and Thirteen-Time Congress Champion. And to top it off she’s a pretty girl.
