Max is a 9-year-old, Freisan spotted draft cross gelding, who stands 17 hands tall. He is pretty to look at and a blast to have around!... (read more) Max has been ridden on miles of trails in the mountains and down the main highway into town.
Max rides great in the arena and outside. He rides well in a group and goes out by himself with no fuss. Max rides English or Western and picks up both leads. Max goes through water and over logs. He has been exposed to cows, tarps, bouncy balls and all kinds of obstacles and he takes it all in stride. Max is very friendly and easy to get along with. My 3-year-old son can brush and lead him around the barnyard. He also rides with me and by himself while Max follows me around. Max is gentle enough I don't have to worry if my boys are playing around his legs and messing around in the barn. He has been ridden by children and he takes care of his rider. Max rides the same whether he is ridden every day or once a month.
Did I mention that Max also drives very well? You can take him for a stroll in the cart or carriage into town or wherever you choose. Max has also been hooked double with other horses and does well with that to.
Max does well inside or turned out, he does well with a mixed herd and is one of the first to meet you at the gate. Max stands to be bathed, clipped and for the farrier. He stands to be tacked and mounted. Max is up to date on farrier, dewormed and had his teeth done in November. Max sells sane, sound and ready to move into his forever home.
