Check this gentleman out! Texas is a 12-year-old spotted, Gypsy Vanner, draft cross gelding that is a total gentleman at heart.... (read more) He has done about everything that you can imagine from raking hay on the farm to being driven in parades. He was also ridden around in the local fireman's carnival and never missed a beat. He is also a dream to trail ride! Texas will cross creeks and logs with no problem and is not spooked from wildlife or whatever else we might see on the trails. Texas will also stand at the mounting block or back up to a gate or even a piece of farm equipment for you to get on his back.
Texas has good barn manners and loves to be groomed and bathed. He is definitely one that the whole family can enjoy! Whether you want to give him to the children or grandchildren, hitch him to the cart to drive, or keep him for yourself to trail ride, Texas can do it all!! He is responsive to voice commands, if you say whoa, he will stop for you.
Texas has the smoothest walk-trot-canter that a draft could have and will ride in the arena as well. Make sure to watch the video to see how much fun the children can have from jumping off Texas's back into the swimming pool, riding sled in the snow, carrying a flag and dragging a tarp, playing bounce ball, as well as, cracking a bullwhip.
