Nokota filly who is ready for her forever owner/home. She is curious and affectionate, Loves to be petted & groomed. Has some ground work training. She is registerable with the Nokota Horse Conservancy. Both parents are registered and on the farm. Her name is Lakota & means Whirling Wind Woman. We call her Niya. Pedigree can be provided.

I am a breeder/owner of Nokota & half bred Nokota/Kiger horses. These breeds are endangered and I am trying to help with their preservation. The Nokotas are very versatile horses with a natural jumping ability. whose lines go back to Sitting Bull's(Lakota) horses They have been used in western disciplines, fox hunting, trail riding, dressage. They are curious and loving, great family horses. The Kigers are a breed of mustang that was discovered in the 1970's in Oregon whose lines go back to the Colonial Spanish horses.... (read more)
