With Jody O Toole, Dash for Cash, First Down Dash, and Royal Quick Dash in his pedigree, Slinky has all the running-bred bloodlines in his favor. Known for an exceptional disposition while maintaining top producing speed, the Dash lines are nothing to scoff at.

(read more) Started on the track as a four year old, he was raced on the quarter horse tracks until he was six. He had 17 starts— placing first, second and third on multiple occasions. Although he loves to run, he has an exceptional disposition and the kindest eyes. He loves trail rides and working on the ranch, and he values having a job. He did have a successful shot at Barrels too. He is on auto a consistent 2D clocker, though he has also placed in the 1D with little effort. Slinky has good ground manners and has been worked with on the ground as well as under saddle.

Due to him being very responsive and supple to his rider’s aids and cues, he does prefer a soft hand and seat. By the touch of a heel or the gentle-pull of the reins, he will side-pass, back, flex, break over, or disengage his hind-quarters. His favorite trick in the barn is his smile and he loves to show it off to his visitors.

Slinky requires little maintenance and has been barefoot the past five years. Although he loves his turnout time out in the fields, he also values his stall at night to lay in his shavings and enjoy his alfalfa. He stands, ties, loads, and bathes like a true champ.

Due to the level of athleticism Slinky possesses and the skills he’s acquired via. his past careers, I am only recommending him to an advanced home.
