Duke is a 9-year-old Percheron gelding. He is big and impressive to look at but is very gentle and easy to handle. Duke has been in parades and has been in heavy traffic. He doesn’t mind even the biggest trucks. He has been giving rides on our farm this past summer and has hauled people to the pumpkin patch with a wagon as a team. He has also been giving kids horseback rides. Duke has been ridden out alone a lot but also doesn’t mind being in a group.... (read more) He will stand at traffic lights and is also very patient when being hitched. You don’t have to use Duke every day or even every week for him to stay trained. He would be a good horse for giving rides downtown or as a big gentle trail horse. He will also trot and has a pretty smooth canter for a big horse. Duke is always noticed for his big proud walk.
