“Oakley” is a 13 year old Belgian gelding standing 17.0 hands high. He has a heart of gold and loves to be pampered. This boy has exceptional barn and ground manners. He stands in cross ties, stands to be clipped, braided, groomed, and bathed. Oakley is quiet as a mouse in the stall and has no bad habits in the barn. He loads and travels beautifully
Under saddle, Oakley is the perfect size for almost any rider. He is safe enough for a beginner or nervous rider yet fun enough for a more experienced rider.... (read more) Oakley is great around children and is okay with all of their shenanigans. He has three comfortable gaits followed by an easy stop and a simple back-up. Oakley has tons of trail miles and is really a trail master. He is careful with his feet, crosses everything imaginable, and will happily lead, follow, or ride in the middle. Oakley is good around bikes, kites, cars, tractors, and other things you’ll see when you’re out and about. Oakley knows more about the trails than he does the arena but he will go around without a fuss and always gives you his best.
Under harness, This boy knows what he’s doing and does it like a champ. He is safe and level headed in all situations. Oakley is never up in the bit but he is up headed and “showy” in harness. Oakley doesn’t mind waiting to be harnessed and hooked up which makes it simple for one person to do it all themselves. Take this boy on a drive to town or have a nice leisure drive around the farm.
