UC By Daybreak, “Bonnie”, is a two-year-old bay Morgan mare currently standing at 14.1 hh (projected to finish at ~14.3). Bonnie is by UC Domination out of UC Serenity. UC Domination has won top ribbons in multiple under saddle, pleasure youth, and park carriage classes. This stallion has since sired multiple UConn Morgans who have been successful in the show ring and/or the riding program at UConn. Bonnie’s dam, UC Serenity, is out of the world champion UC Ringmaster.... (read more) Serenity was a successful hunter jumper in the UConn riding program, retiring to produce several beautiful foals. All of her offspring exhibit excellent trainability, correct refined confirmation, intelligence, and athletic talent. Bonnie is no exception. Although only four years old, Serenity's oldest foal has been shown successfully at both Connecticut and Massachusetts Morgan Shows. Bonnie has great ground manners with a friendly and willing demeanor, can stand for the vet & farrier, load, lunge, and has started long lining. Bonnie is also gaining show experience by traveling to the 2023 Equine Affaire to be shown in-hand for Morgan breed demonstrations. With the help of an advanced rider or trainer, Bonnie has the potential to excel in many different arenas including; hunters, dressage, or driving.

University of Connecticut Department of Animal Sci

The University of Connecticut offers a four-year Animal Science degree with an Equine Science area of interest. The program is flexible, offering both a broad liberal education, involving a choice of several electives, combined with the option of individual development. A two-year program is available through the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture in which courses cover the more practical aspects of Animal Science....
