15 yr old 15.1 Paint Gelding

“Checkers” is a great mix of arena riding and trail horse. He has been used in a lesson program, very gentle and easy going for novice and timid riders. He has been ridden both English and Western, and has done the local open shows and 4H level classes. Super cute extended trot, and is responsive to his riders cues. Very quiet out on the trails, not spooky or reactive. We just had our barn’s annual fall camp out and he was a favorite among all the riders we had riding with us.... (read more) We trusted him with beginners riders and their families who had little horse experience to ride out on the trails. Super sweet personality and well mannered on the ground when handling, grooming, tacking and standing tied. Loads and hauls with no issues.
