This one is a hard one to let go of! You will not find a kinder sweeter mare in the Morgan breed. The kids love her because she is always gentle and patient and the easiest one to halter when the herd gets out. PERFECT groundmanners!
Kay was easy to train and though she has mostly been a broodmare here, when I do ride her between foals, she remembers everything I taught her so easily it seems like it was yesterday.... (read more) Kay has given us five beautiful babies and is an excellent mother. But it is time for the dear girl to be someone's very special partner and shine in the spotlight. She deserves that too! I noted right off when I trained her that she has a very steady long swinging stride and easy way of going that makes you feel effortless to carry. Her sire line contains accomplished hunters in her pedigree and you will see some very treasured Morgan names there. Elegant and refined enough for dressage, Kay is very light and soft to aids from rein and leg and she knows her yields well. Kay has always ridden in a light s hack over the years, but this fall I put her in a bit and she accepted it easily.
Currently, I am enjoying trail riding Kay a couple times a week and advancing her arena work as well. This mare has a heart of gold and wants to please, and if someone doesn't come buy her soon, I may decide to keep her, again! ;-)
