Smoke is an all around great horse. He runs barrels and quads. He has been used for team penning and around the farm to gather cattle. He's been on the Dixie National Trail Ride and in Christmas parades carrying a flag. I ran him in the NBHA for several years and competed in local horse shows in barrels and quads. He is the type of horse that you can turn out for a year then get back on and he's exactly the same. He does have COPD so he requires meds during the summer months when the humidity is high.... (read more) He is super gentle and tends to be at the bottom of the pecking order despite his size. I'm not sure of his height but I would guess he is about 15.5 - 16 hh. When in shape and muscled up he can get close to 1400 lbs. He is the type of horse that you can do just about anything with. He is great for the farrier and loves attention. He is a big horse and has a lot of go in him when asked, but will trail ride all day. He is easy to ride and has a smooth trot and short lope. He is registered as a Bay Roan, but is a dun. He came up a few weeks ago with abrasions on his hips (visible in picture) which I'm not sure how they happened, but they are healing and hair is coming back. Don't let his age fool you. He still has a lot of drive and determination left in him. I have retired him from running, but he would make an excellent play day or ranch horse. Text me for more pictures and information.
