Introducing DHF Whirlwind (Maple Lane Supersonic x Tradewinds Wintersweet, by Lucasia Zodiac), a registered 2023 Percheron colt. Windy, is a kind, curious soul who has been quite a joy to raise. He inherited his dam's kind disposition and eagerness to please, along with his sire's movement and curiosity. This colt certainly catches the eye, with an "old style" front end and a superb hind leg. He could be quite the prospect in halter in the coming years, and grow into quite the nice horse under saddle or in harness, whether in the show ring, or a leisurely stroll.... (read more) He is very curious and willing to try any new tasks we give him, and has figured them out rather quickly.
Windy has been weaned, and is broke to lead, stands quietly tied, (both straight and in crossties), and we have been working on body control cues, such as yielding his hind quarter, backing and yielding his forehand. He is UTD on all cares, and we expect him to mature in the mid 17hh range. We are considering offers on Windy to find him his forever home. Movement video available.
