Salem is a totally beginner safe, kid safe, grandma safe trail riding champion. She is an extremely quiet and gentle black QH mare. Salem is 10 years old and stands 14hh making her the perfect size for kids and elderly. She is safe, safe, safe for all ages, sizes and riders experience. Salem is well broke to ride and drive. She has perfect ground manners and stands like a saint for the farrier. She has been extensively road ridden, trail ridden and river ridden by total beginners and has proven to be extremely tolerant and patient.... (read more) Overall she is a very uncomplicated ride - just kick to go and pull back to stop. She is happy to walk, but will easily trot and canter both leads with a couple kicks - she has a soft mouth and excellent breaks. She has been trailered out for all day trail rides as well to birthday parties and pony party events hosted by different cities where she has been a gracious servant packing around children of all ages. We have also used Salem in our lesson program where she has taught many children the basics like how to post and steer.
