“Rueben” is a 12yr old, 16hh, QH gelding. This boy is safe, pretty, and a love bug. Rueben is a gentle horse, that anyone can ride. In the barn, he has no bad habits. He stands on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, etc. He can live in, or out, go out alone, or in a group. He gets along well with other horses. Rueben is good for the vet, farrier, loads and trailers well, and he is an easy keeper with no maintenance or supplements.... (read more)
On the trails, I would trust throwing anyone on him. He takes care of his rider, and makes for a relaxing, enjoyable ride. Rueben will trail ride all day long, on the buckle and goes exactly where you ask. He will lead, follow, go out alone and in groups. You can ask him to leave the group and he won’t argue. He crosses water, logs, and other trail obstacles. Rueben is safe with dogs, traffic, bikes, you name it. This boy is a total babysitter on the trails!
Rueben rides western, english, and bareback. He has smooth, comfortable gaits, and he is a good combination of whoa and go. He is more on the whoa side and likes to relax, but you don’t have to ask him twice to move out. He will w/t/c in the ring, knows his leads, and will pop over small fences. We have been playing around with putting small courses together and he is just over all honest and straight forward. Rueben is a simple ride, with a good whoa, neck reins, and moves off of leg.
Rueben would make an amazing husband horse, with his size and demeanor. He is a great all around horse, that is easy to have around. If you are looking for safe, sweet, and pretty, don’t miss out on this guy!
