Sparks Bar Hancock affectionately known as Shiner is the best type of gelding. He’s 5 years old and 14.2 with a kind, gentle and old soul. Shiner is the first horse to be caught in the pasture and is the same if you ride him once a week or once a month. Shiner has never met a stranger and loves affection and attention without being pushy or demanding.
Shiner lopes beautiful circles on either lead and has a big and easy stop. He moves off his forehand or haunches and works effectively off your seat and leg.... (read more)
Shiner has done all the ranch chores and is good at them! He’s worked cattle, gathered pastures, pen backed at the sale barn, and done a little bit of roping.
Shiner is a great trail horse and crosses bridges, water, logs, brush, and ditches. He has a confident walk out and will gladly lead the pack or hang back for beverage and visiting enjoyment.
Shiner has great ground manners and stands tied nicely, is good with his feet, saddles, bridles, loads, leads, and bathes with ease.
Shiner is no stranger to the circus and will play with the tarp, flag, sled, or leaf blower. Shiner will also ride bareback, he’ll even sidepasses to the mounting block or fence for easy mounting.
Shiner has all the look, training, and personality anyone could ask for, but don’t forget his breeding! Lena Spark as his parental grandfather was the earner of over $45,000 in LTE in the NRCHA in the reined cow horse, tie down roping, heading and healing roping and even some reining and stock pleasure. The great Shinning Spark also makes an appearance on Shiners papers. With Shinning Spark having $60,000 in LTE, being a NRHA Hall of Fame Stallion, and the NRCHA’s first three million dollar sire it really leaves no room to assume anything other than Shiner being from great stock!
Shiner is up to date on dental, vaccinations, chiropractic care, hoof care, and worming.
