Myles was trained by the Amish as a walking/buggy horse. His second owned used him for field trialing pointing dogs. We purchased him when he was 9 yo. Myles will do anything you ask him to and go anywhere. Since we've owned him he's done parades and served with the Three Rivers Parks mounted patrol (~300 hours). He's gun, airplane, helicopter, dog, deer, turkey, train, pavement, car, and bike safe. If you can think of it, he's seen it and handled it in Lake Rebecca or Crow Hassan parks.... (read more) He's currently in a herd of 30-40 horses. He's neither aggressive nor weak; he's a respected, non-pushy member of the herd. Myles is like most TWHs: he likes to be used. He is not a lawn ornament or a stall horse. He's happiest on the trail gaiting. His TW starts at about 5 mph and is smooth through all gears up to about 16 mph. Cruising speed is 8-10 mph on cross-country trails.
