Macchiato is truly the total package !! He’s the barn favorite - strikingly handsome, in your pocket personality and a total gentleman on the ground and in the saddle. Macchiato is a 17 year old Dun Quarter Horse gelding who stands 15.1hh. He is your been there, done that gelding who is quiet enough and safe for any level rider. Macchiato has been ridden and shown English, western and bareback by children and adults. He has three lovely gaits - a quiet walk, a steady trot and a delightfully collected lope in each direction.... (read more) He has easy transitions and excellent breaks. He comes equipped with power steering - so he will neck rein and direct/plow rein. He is definitely a horse who tries to please his rider as he responds well to his riders’ leg and seat cues. Overall he is an uncomplicated ride and does great teaching beginner and intermediate riding lessons. Out on the trails, Macchiato is a total rockstar. He is a brave boy who will happily venture out alone. He has a very gentle, laid back disposition and is just as content to lead or follow a group. He trailers like a pro and loves exploring new parks on all day rides. He ties, crossties and pickets no problem.
