"Ruger" is a 9 year old splashy quarter horse gelding with all the mass, shine, and chrome you could want. He is a headturner with that deep chestnut color, and big belly spot just to make you look twice.... (read more)

This guy came from a smaller hobby farm/ranch operation in the central US. He has lived with the cows, been rode in the arena, and gone down the local trails. He will ride off on a loose rein or collect up right in the bridle. He knows his leads and truly has the talent to take on an arena career if someone decided to give him one.

This guy steps into the river, over fallen logs, or out through our hayfield like he had done it every day of his life. He has been unfazed to our tarps, yoga balls, and the other "goofy" things we try and catch him off with. He has manners, and wants to be good. He has never bucked, reared, bolted, or done a single wrong move in our hands.

Like most ranch horses, on the ground he will give you a side eye that might make you think he is looking at you funny. He takes a day or two to settle into his environment, and is a little unsure on the ground, but do not let that fool you. Since the first day he showed up in our barn, we realized he has seen it all and is nothing short of a point, shoot, and go type of guy. He would make one heck of a branding partner, trail partner, or turn around and try to get this guy going on the head side - you won't be disappointed!

We recently sold this guy and the personality was not the right fit. For that reason, we are reoffering him for his new owner! He is back in our barn, and the same horse we know and love!
