Freckles is an 18 year old AQHA broodmare and around 15.1hh. She is confirmed in foal to my homozygous dun grullo stud “Stitched in Steel” for an early April 2024 (due the 6th) foal!! This baby should have a LOT of factoring!! She is a wonderful momma and takes great care of her babies. Produces milk like a milk cow!! She is easy to handle and manage. She leads, loads, and ties great. She was broke to ride but hasn’t been saddled and rode in years. My boyfriend hopped on her bareback and she rode right off when I first got her but hasn’t had anything else done with her. I do have a video of that.

She has a pretty good sized gash on her front right knee that is healing up nicely but is still there! It was just skin and I found her too late to get it stitched. I doctor it everyday. It’s going to leave a scar and she sells with it there!

Freckles is UTD on her shots!! She has not been 5 panel tested OR color tested but all foals have been black/bay based which make me believe she is homozygous black. If she’s homozygous black, that’s 100% chance of a Grullo foal next year.
