Hi there. Renegade is an 8y/o, (coming 9), 17.1hh Belgian gelding. He is absolutely gorgeous & has a sweet personality! He currently has shoes on all 4 for driving purposes, & is UTD on trim, wormer, coggins, vaccines, dental float, & a recent vet exam. Renegade is broke to ride & drive. He would absolutely suit beginners for both! Ren drives single or double. He is pulling bred but former owner said he was a little too lazy at competitions for his liking.... (read more) He's also done some logging in the woods. We have driven him into town & he's very quiet & responds to commands. Traffic/town safe. He could easily do commercial carriage work & events or teach beginners to drive. Under saddle he will w/t/c & is a good mix of whoa & go. Will walk all day long on a loose rein, but will move out with a few kicks. He moves around the ring nicely & hops over jumps or fallen obstacles. He actually did better than we expected especially for his size! Ren has most of his miles out on the trails & it definitely shows! He's extremely confident & brave to whatever you come across. Never hesitates to go in, over, under, up, or down wherever you point him. Rides alone, in a group, & will lead or follow. We have hauled him all around our area & he jumps off the trailer ready to ride. He will walk into town beside semis & traffic whizzing by, goes into the drive thru window, & even walks into Tractor Supply! He enjoys human interaction which is good because he always attracts a crowd! If you want to meet new people or be envied, he's your man! If you're on the shorter side, no need to worry as you can mount him from anything. His size also accommodates larger riders & is always guaranteed to make your rear look small. On the ground he's respectful & gentle. The only semi negative thing I could say is he's a tad heavy when it comes to lifting his feet, but he does not require stocks. He can live out or be stalled & gets along in a mixed herd. Very easy keeper. Renegade has been exposed to so many things & if you check out his videos you'll see for yourself how amazing he is! He has an endless amount of potential & could easily go in any direction. Lessons, parades, carriage rides, shows, 4h, fox hunts, dressage, etc... hes the perfect family man & confidence booster. Ren would also do great with a mounted unit! This gorgeous guy is one of a kind & would love to meet you.
