Freddie is an incredibly sweet 12-year-old Arabian gelding. He's quite the eye-catcher: he's got very long, thick mane, he's got the signature Arabian dish face, and his eyes will make you melt.
Freddie is reining trained and has all of the fancy maneuvers and buttons; he has flying lead changes, circles, has beautiful sliding stops, spins, side passes, etc. You can ride him one-handed in the bridle or ride him around in a snaffle, he is very broke.... (read more)
Freddie would be an outstanding horse for a confident beginner who is working with a trainer or doing lessons regurlarly, a youth who wants to learn and show in reining and/or ranch riding, he's the perfect reining/ranch riding-starter-kit. He is a lot of fun for an advanced rider as well, as he is a fancy mover and has all the buttons to show really well. Freddie can also go in different directions; he has the speed when you ask for it, and would excel at gymkhana/play day events. He is cowy and will push cows happily, and sorting or team penning would also be in his wheelhouse. He has been out on the trails a lot and will cross water, and is very surefooted. He will go out with other horses or by himself, and once he knows you and trusts you, he is good out on the trail. He can be a little looky out on the trail when he first gets to know you, but with a confident rider who will ride him through whatever he's looking at, there's nothing he won't do.
All in all, Freddie is a really cool horse that you can go have fun on in the arena at home, in the show ring, or out on the trail. He is good for the farrier, stands tied, bathes, clips, etc. He's up to date on shoes, dentist, and vaccinations. Feel free to reach out for more information, videos and pictures.
