Miami Miracle - unraced 16.3 5yo TB gelding by Golden Lad.
I'm loving Miami a litte too much right now. I'm having thoughts about what a good idea having two horses competing would be lol He absolutely blew it out of the water today at Windurra. He's totally got this whole jumping thing down and he loves it. He is brave as anything and game for everything. He confidently went up and down steps, ditches, water, swales and jumped around a BN level course.... (read more) He is jumping so confidently and with excellent form out of the canter now. I went back and watched his first xc school from several weeks ago and the change in his form and scope is incredible. I really couldn't be happier with him and I am going to just start signing him up for some starter trials and jumper rounds. Of course, the second I pay an entry he's bound to sell lol
Miami has had plenty of interest in the last few weeks but interestingly, it's been the wrong sort of interest and I keep having to say no to people. I think he looks like a big horse. He is a big horse. He also looks athletic to me when I watch his stuff back. He IS athletic and scopey. He's not appropriate for a kid, I've had numerous people reach out wanting him as a first horse for their 13/14yo children. That's not going to be his role! He wants an adult rider who has worked with young horses before and is looking for a fun talented partner to bring along up the levels.
