Rosie is a very well broke mare that the whole family can ride. She is a very sweet, calm, gentle, good-looking mare that anyone can ride. She has been used as a lesson horse, play day horse, trail horse, and on a ranch checking cows in the pasture and riding the fence line, penning cattle, sorting pairs, and pushing cattle onto trailers. She rides with a loose one hand neck rein, good stop, and backup.... (read more) She also has a smooth walk, trot, and canter. She will rides the same way every time you ride her, whether you ride her, once a week, once a month, or once a year (we rode after her having a few years off and she rode right off). She has awesome ground manners. She is very calm and is very easy to handle.
Rosie has no problem with you opening/closing gates off of her, carrying a flag on her, going down streams, over fallen trees, she is traffic safe and used to heavy equipment, bulldozers, lawnmowers, weed eaters, motorcycles, big semi-trucks, dump trucks, tractors, and their sounds (we have a construction company next door). She also has no problem walking up/down steep ditches and ravines, she will go thru thick brush, in the woods with no spook. She'll ride bareback, saddled, single and double.
Rosie stands very well while being clipped, bathed, fly sprayed, groomed, feet picked, and for the vet/farrier. She recently had her teeth floated and her feet trimmed. She is easy to tack up and stands still for mounting, she will let you mount her from either a mounting block or from the ground. She loads and hauls very well. She is gentle and easy to catch, is child and dog friendly, and is not "mare-ish". She gets along great with all of our other horses, mares, and geldings alike.
Rosie would be an excellent prospect for; trail riding, ranch sorting, team penning, goat tying, play days, barrels, poles, parades, little britches, drill team, trail horse competitions, grand entry, parades, queens contest, 4-H, FFA, English, walk-trot, lead line, or as a lesson horse. She would be great for a child/beginner to learn on and first time horse owner.
Rosie is a pretty sorrel mare with a blaze face, a kind eye, a beautiful mane, and tail. Rosie is a very shapely mare with a thick neck, strong shoulder, nice wither, a straight back, a wide chest, and a nice hip. Rosie has a great temperament and will fit the whole family, novice or pro alike. She is well broke, and VERY Gentle, don't miss out on her. She sells sound, sane, and no vices. Please no outside trades, deposits, or payment plans. First come, first serve.
This horse is the sole property of Doug Gittins and comes with; a 30 day guarantee in writing (as a signed contract), a current negative Coggins, and we give every horse a strep (strangles) and a flu/rhino 4-1 vaccine.
