Lolli is a very well-broke red dun mare that absolutely anyone can ride and enjoy. She is a "been there done that" type of mare. We don't like to use the term "boom Proof", but she is as close as they come!!! We have had riders on her from ages 4yro to 74yro, if you can't ride this mare you probably need to stay in the house!!! LOL In the last two years, Lolli was used as a camp horse giving rides to beginners, before that she was used on a ranch.... (read more) Since she has been with us she has flagged ropings, pushed and sorted steers, opened/closed gates to move cattle out of the pasture into the roping pens, and pushed cattle in the roping chutes and onto trailers. We also took her to the arena with a very inexperienced rider on the barrel pattern and did excellent with other horses running up behind her, at her, and all around her. Lolli stayed calm, cool, and collected.
She is very sweet, calm, and gentle. She rides with a loose one hand neck rein, with a good backup and stop. She is smooth at the walk, trot, and canter, and picks up each only when you ask her. She is a babysitter!!! Lolli has no problem with you carrying a flag, going down streams, or over fallen trees, she is traffic safe and used to heavy equipment, bulldozers, lawnmowers, weedeaters, motorcycles, big semi-trucks, dump trucks, tractors, and its sounds (we have a construction company next door). She also has no problem walking up/down steep ditches and ravines, she will go thru thick brush, in the woods with no spook. She will ride the same way every time you ride her, whether you ride her, once a week, once a month, or once a year. She has good ground manners. She is very calm and is very easy to handle.
Lolli stands very well while being clipped, bathed, fly sprayed, groomed, feet picked, and for the vet/farrier. She is easy to tack up and stands still for mounting, she will let you mount her from either a mounting block or from the ground. She loads and hauls very well. She is gentle and easy to catch, is child and dog friendly, and is not "mare-ish". She gets along great with all of our other horses, mares, and geldings alike.
Lolli would be an excellent prospect for; ranch sorting, team penning, play days, goat tying, barrels, poles, parades, little britches, drill team, trail riding, trail horse competitions, grand entry, parades, queens contest, 4-H, FFA, English, walk-trot, lead line, a lesson horse or just a family/pleasure horse. Lolli will teach your kids or the inexperienced riders how to ride, she is very forgiving of their mistakes, and she will make them look good. She would make an excellent second horse for your "city" friends and family to come ride. She has quickly become the barn favorite!!!
Lolli is a pretty red line back dun mare that has a very feminine head, a good neck, a strong shoulder, a nice wither, with a straight back, a wide chest, and a nice hip. She has a beautiful mane and a thick long tail, with highlights and low lights to die for. She has all the correct "dun Factors". Anyone would be proud to own this gorgeous mare. She has a great temperament and will fit the whole family, she will take care of the kids and the inexperienced riders, and then go do a job and get it done for the pros. She is a been there done that type of horse, well broke, and VERY gentle, don't miss out on her. She sells sound, sane, and no vices. Please no outside trades, deposits, or payment plans. First come, first serve.
