“Banjo” is an 11yr old, 15.3hh, Percheron/QH cross gelding. This is one neat horse! Banjo is the type of horse that you can throw your husband on, but he is fancy enough for you to enjoy as well! This boy screams fox hunter! Banjo is a fun, simple, animated character that anyone could enjoy!
In the barn, Banjo has zero bad habits. He can live in, or out, alone and in a mixed herd. He stands well on the cross ties to be groomed, tacked, bathed, harnessed, etc.... (read more) He has lovely ground manners and a very sweet personality.
Banjo loves to explore, he is a trail machine and can go all day. He is safe with dogs on his heels, traffic, bikes, wildlife, etc. He crosses water, logs, and other trail obstacles. You point and he goes. He has a very adventurous mind, and makes for a fun trail ride every time! He can canter down a trail and come right back to a walk. Banjo loads and hauls well. He is not spooky.
Banjo rides western, english, and bareback. He has uphill, light gaits, and a soft mouth. He is a beautiful mover and could show potential in dressage! He is the perfect combo of whoa and go. He will ride slow and easy on the buckle, but moves out right when you ask him. He has a great whoa button as well. He is over all very simple. Banjo has been started over fences, he is brave and willing and hasn’t said no to anything I have pointed him at. Banjo is also broke to drive, he has mostly been driven in a team, so he is still green to being driven single. I have driven him single in my carriage and went around the neighborhood.
This is a super fun, all around fancy gelding with endless potential. Fox hunting, dressage, husband horse, trail horse, driving horse, you name it. He is ready to head in any direction! Please feel free to reach out for any further information!
