"Moose" is a 4 year old appaloosa gelding that is the total unique package. You don't find a replica if you search far and wide! He's got palomino coloring, size, mass, a full mane, a full tail, and the infamous "peacock" spots when you get up close.... (read more)

Moose rides in the arena, and has the athleticism to tell me he could easily go into a ranch or rodeo discipline. He has big, smooth gaits and has his leads down pact. This guy was started right, and could truly continue on in any direction.

We have ridden him outside of the arena - down our long gravel driveway, in the hayfield, the woods, and through our river. He has proven to us he has been down the trail a time or two. He has gone through all of our desensitizing protocol, and continues to just get better with it! Remember again - he is just newly 4 years old!

He has never bucked, reared, bolted, or pulled back. He stands good for the vet, lives great in the herd, and looks like this off of water and grass. I understand the appaloosas can get a hard reputation, but when you have one like him, the only motto he fits is expression you hear from time to time of "I don't usually like apps, except that one".

This guy could continue down the trail, take a ranch job, or make his steps into the rodeo arena in any of the various events. He is going to do what you ask of him!
